Frugal Scrapping!

The little girl in this photo is my mum...and no that is not me in the photo!! LOL
Better Scrap booking have a challenge on for the Month of June and that challenge is to create a scrapbook page for under $5 Of course I can never resist a good challenge.

Here's the approximate costing of my page.....

Background paper.$nil I used a piece of packing card that come with a piece of Prima paper.

Flowers and leaves under 5c each ( from a bunch of silk flowers brought from the super market.

Crochet flowers I made myself, cost of cotton used maybe 10c each

Paper flowers $nil- hand made from scrap paper

Ribbon 90c

One serviette , I have used the top layer and the bottom layer 30c

paint 10c at the most

Two buttons 10c

Everything else is just small scraps from things I have lying around: tulle, lace, fabric, old beads from a necklace.

The Cherish stamp is stamped onto the back of a clothing label (I have a huge collection of these).

Photo approx 20c maybe less, I print my own.

Total cost of my page is around : $2.40 Not bad A!

Silk flowers, with a little swipe of my red ink pad and centre 'beads' from an old necklace.
Paper flowers that I made last week for another scrap page.

Hand made crochet flowers, fabric scrap and very cheap leaves!
I have scrunched and mod podged a tissue onto a scrap piece of card and applied a little paint.

Look at that, I managed to use two of the stamps from my 'stamp stash'
I hunted through my ribbon scrap jar and found just the right piece... it matches my serviette!

It was fun to make a page as cheaply as possible, it took lots of thought! Check out the challenge HERE and give it ago yourself
Remember to watch out for our Winter challenge coming up very soon at Scrapbook Studios as well. Its going to be fun!

Here is my finished latest painting

Here is my finished latest painting
This one is a hit with all the males who have seen it. I must say that I did not really enjoy painting a truck and it will be a one off for sure! Uncle David is now the owner of this one. Next project on thepainting scene is going to be a fisherman- for my Uncle Graeme who is wanting me to paint him something. Really need to get onto this one!

Finished at last- I think
