ATC's for remembering Christchurch

Recently I took part in an ATC swap, run through Birds of A Feather.
I thought you may like to check the cards out, the theme was Remember Christchurch and the colour theme was black and Red (Canterbury colours, of course)

This simple, yet stunning card was created by Ann and is a wonderful clear reminder of the Earthquake that struck Christchurch.

Carol used a very clever transfer technique to create 'Rise Up'

Danice made her ATC's all a little different, below are some of her wonderful cards.

Kathy, was also super creative and has more than one design of card as well, each one is stunning.

Lainie's Gothic shape represents the ChCh Cathedral and the flowers, the garden city.

Nicki's lovely card says..."Let hope rise, Rise within you, Fill with morning light".

Robyn has created this 3D type master piece

Sandra, who experienced the quake first hand has replicated the 'shaking' so very well.

I was amazed by the many, many people who pitched in and got behind Chch in its time of need, so my card is titled "lending a hand to Christchurch. My quote says   Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light.

Over at Birds of a Feather we have another ATC swap on the go, we would love for you to join in, details can be found HERE

ATC for a friend

Okay, I was planning on a posting tonight, but time has once again escaped from my grasp And I cannot for the life of me remember which folder I have stashed these ATC photos in so..... until I hunt out my other two photos here is a wee peek of an ATC I made last week to send to my friend Sandra in Christchurch.

Crafting is still slow at my house, we have one sunny day after another and I have many chores to do so scrapping is still well down my to-do list, however I have been working on a page and its almost finish so soon I will have a scrapbook page to share.

Lot of ATC's

Recently I took part in an ATC swap over at Better Scrapbooking, the theme was Fancy Frills.
The fist thing that comes to my mind, when i hear the word 'frills' are dresses, so I decided to make a set of ATC cards called...Fancy Dress.

Here they all are...

I really enjoyed making these, even though they seemed to take ages to make with all of that hand sewing!

Now take a look at the gorgeous ideas the other swap ladies come up with...

This delightful card has been created by Sherryn
Christine followed the same thought patterns as I did, here is her lovely "Ballroom Frills"
Sandra's card is wonderfully frilly and has lots of sparkle.
Sharon's card is very elegant, and has loads of tiny detail
and last but by no means least, here is Megan's stunning card
Thanks to you all for creating another lovely collection for me.

Music was the theme for this ATC swap at Scrapbooking by Design

I just love this Mozart card from Jean
Amanda's 'rockstar' is leaping off the card. Super cute Amanda!!
Soph has come up with a wonderful layered number
I have added a little texture using embossing powder and my cuttle bug.
Love the saying and image on Lilli's card
Music is Love, is the title of Ruth's master piece.
Ann has also had her cuttle bug out for 'Happy Days'
Love this classic from Robyn.
and this vintage music card from Sue
Thanks again ladies!

ATC swap : Colors of the Rainbow

Thanks to the ladies at Scrapbooking by Design for this beautiful collection of Rainbow ATC's
This glorious 'Pot of Gold was created by Lilli
Jane created the red in our rainbow of ATC's
Danice put a creative swirl on orange.

Love the soft color of yellow, thanks Ann.

Look at Nickie's take on Green, very cool!
Sweet 'Memories' in blue has been created by Robyn

Lisa added shine to Indigo.
I got to play with violet..and I found this poem written by Dora Goodale..
The modest, lowly violet
In leaves of tender green is set,
So rich she cannot hide from view,
But covers all the bank with blue.

White Butterfly was designed by Sue

Anya got to portray the whole spectrum, her ATC reads...
...and at the end
of the rainbow, she said
"you will find a pot of gold"

Love this take on the pot of gold the end of the rainbow, made by Lisa.

Signs of the Zodiac

I'm a little late getting these ATC's onto my blog for you all to see!
This collection is the result of a Zodiac ATC swap I took part in some time ago.

Sagittarius was created by my wonderful friend Robyn.
Virgo was my creation, and is my star sign!

Taurus, complete with a little pocket to hold the tag was made by Jane.
My wonderful cyber buddy Carol has a touch of sparkle on her Scorpio masterpiece.
Pisces, also complete with a pull out tag was sent to me from Lisa B.

Libra is beautiful! Thank you Dianne.
Lilli has worked with some gorgeous texture to capture Leo as he steps out from the jungle!
I love the colours Nickie has used on her Gemini creation.
Thanks Lianne for your wonderful take on Capricorn.

Anya's image is precious! Here is her Cancer ATC.

Amanda is very clever with textures, just look at her Aries!
Last, but by no means least is sweet Aquarius, created by Danice.

Wonderful aren't they!! Thanks to everyone who had a hand in creating this delightful collection.

Here is my finished latest painting
This one is a hit with all the males who have seen it. I must say that I did not really enjoy painting a truck and it will be a one off for sure! Uncle David is now the owner of this one. Next project on thepainting scene is going to be a fisherman- for my Uncle Graeme who is wanting me to paint him something. Really need to get onto this one!

Finished at last- I think
