Tickled Pink Tag

This weeks Tickled Pink Challenge is to create, or use a tag, on your creation.
My first two attempts ended up in the rubbish bin, but I got there in the end. I have made a Tag Card using the Tickled Pink image called Lil Lolita Willow.

I have used a piece of a Dusty Attic fence as a backdrop for Willow and added a tiny heart charm and punched butterfly's.

This tag card 'pulls' apart a little way so you write a message in the centre. This was my first attempt at making one of these cards, but I intend on making more as they really are a very cool idea, and would be perfect to pop on your gifts.

Thanks for looking. Do take a peek at the other Tag creations that have been created by the Design Team and by some very talented crafters, You can find them HERE. Tickled Pink also have a Christmas Card Challenge running, What a great idea to inspire people like me to get some Christmas cards made before the crazy season hits!

Happy Creating

Happy Birthday Card

I just love my Tickled Pink Stamps so much that I thought I have a go at the latest challenge, the prize is three Tickled Pink Stamps, which I would love to win!

The image I have used for my Birthday card is called Lil Valentine Luca, isn't he just the coolest!

I am beginning to get a little more brave with my colouring and am colouring my image's darker now. I know, I've still got a lot to learn though!

Here is a peek at the inside of my card.

These little denim fabric flowers are made using the tutorial at Tickled Pink, you can find it HERE

Tucked in, on the inside 'back cover' of my card is a little pouch. I thought Id give this card to Camden who turns 16 on Thursday, so in the pouch I have tucked an envelope which holds a voucher, and a photo of my lad with his girlfriend.

Thanks for looking and thanks again for the inspiration Tickled Pink!

Card Challenge#17

Here it is, the last card from me as one of Card Patterns design team members...

This week we were once again lucky enough to have received images complements of the Digi Shack to work with. Thanks Digi Shack! This week I used three of their wonderful images on my card....

Love this flower image so I decided to show case it on a tag...

... which fits into the pocket on the front of my card, I have turned a part of Michelle's sketch inside out! The second image I have used is the lovely sentiment on the front.

The third image is tucked away inside my card.
Good luck to everyone who takes on the challenge!!
All the very best to the new design team, a few of whom are the old design team who have decided to stay on! Well done. I loved being a part of this gorgeous team of truly talented and friendly ladies. Leaving the team is a little bitter sweet for me as I would have loved to be staying on only, Scrap booking is my passion and I really struggled some weeks to get my card made in time. In saying that, I have a lovely supply of cards now, have sharpened up my skills a little and have enjoyed challenging myself! I will miss this little part of my weekly routine. Lastly I send a huge thank you to Michelle she is one lovely lady!

Digi Stamping

Hi there. Last week at Card Patterns we were each sent a Digi Stamp to use with Michelle's sketch. To my knowledge Digi stamping has not hit New Zealand yet??? I could be wrong, I have done an Internet search but it has turned up no NZ digi stamps site. Please correct me if I'm off track here! Anyway Michelle sent me this image ....

My first thought was ARrrrrrrrrr......... HELP!!!
...but then the more I looked at this image the more I liked it! I mean to say, she really is so sweet isn't she. So I pushed aside the panic, printed her out and got to work!
I have printed out the image three times in fact. Once on green - for the leaf, and again in pink, for the togs, which I ended up cutting out and covering with glitter.

Here is Michelle's sketch...

...and here is the card I made...

This lovely Digi stamp had such a tropical feel about it that I just had to add the brilliant colours of the tropics, and of course a flower to match!

This digi stamp, and all of the other gorgeous Digi stamps used by the rest of the Card Pattern's Design Team were kindly supplied to us from the Digi Shack do be sure to check them out.

My challenge to you all is to create a card using Michelle's sketch. Remember to leave a link over at Card patterns to your take on the sketch. The winner from this challenge will be showcased on #17 as Guest Designer. You also will be in with a chance to win two digi stamps of your choice from The Digi Shack!!

I have been very proud to have been a part of the launch of this hugely popular site and a part of this team of very clever, friendly ladies from all over the world! Thanks Michelle!!!

I'm back!!

Hello -- at last!! I have been quite unwell since last Sunday and have only have enough energy to do the things that had to be done, but at last I'm feeling bright again so here I am having a quick catch-up!

On the craft front there is not much to report as I have done very little! Although I have managed to get the first of my Handmade items off to Renate in Germany, I cannot tell you what I have made until it has reached its destination!

Carol is next on my list, so that will be this weeks mission!

I received an email from Scrapbooking Innovations a couple of days ago, and only just checked my emails last night and discovered that my submitted scrapbook page has been accepted for publication in the third issue of this soon to be released Scrap booking magazine. Very exciting!! Up2Scrap have also accepted another of my pages for their next magazine. Lucky me!!

Now I really do not have much to show you after a very slow week, but I do have my Card created for the 9th Card patterns Sketch. This time I made an Easter card, for obvious reasons!!
Check out the sketch

As usual, my card has lots of layers! the Easter greeting is printed onto transparency which is layered over a piece patterned paper and then tucked underneath a piece of red card.

The green grass near the bottom is cut from green corrugated card, and placed between the patterned paper and the transparency layers.

Be sure to check out the latest winners and happenings at Card Patterns.

Next project on thepainting scene is going to be a fisherman- for my Uncle Graeme who is wanting me to paint him something. Really need to get onto this one!
