Duck for tea

Tonight we had duck for tea. I am not a violent person and I do not squash spiders let alone shoot animals and I have always taught my children to respect and treat animals (and other people) kindly. However my boys are hunters!!! Don't know why they like hunting but it appears to be their passion just as mine is scrap booking!

Just for the record we will never eat these two ducks, they have been a part of our family for about ten years now and always, without fail leave little 'parcels' at my door step each morning!! Hmmm!!!!!

I did a layout about the men in my life,i have a thinker,a hunter gather, and a combination of those 2.Its not a bad thing to be a hunter its a inbuilt survival instinct,at lest we would never starve

My Dad used to take my brothers and I out rabbiting when we were kids......he made the mistake of letting us keep the baby rabbits as pets though! We wouldn't eat rabbit after that!

This one is a hit with all the males who have seen it. I must say that I did not really enjoy painting a truck and it will be a one off for sure! Uncle David is now the owner of this one. Next project on thepainting scene is going to be a fisherman- for my Uncle Graeme who is wanting me to paint him something. Really need to get onto this one!
